...And then there was three. Julianna just couldn't wait for her due date
and made an early appearance on Sunday March 23, 2003. Rob and I both figured
I'd go late for sure and were putting off getting the baby essentials like diapers,
wipes, clothes etc. Boy, were we dumb.
The Saturday night before we went to supper with our good friend Don. We
arrived back at our house around 9:30pm for coffee and dessert. It's
around this time that I started to have some discomfort, but nothing major.
It wasn't until about an hour later that I told Rob, but I still didn't
think it was anything to worry about. Rob on the other hand took things
more seriously. He recorded the length of my "contractions" and the time
in between my "contractions", he pleaded with me to call the hospital to ask their opinion,
and he coerced my to pack my bag just in case.
Well, this time Rob was right and I was wrong (that doesn't happen very often).
After going to bed around 12:30am, I woke up around 3:30am with more intense pain, and
then my water broke. I don't think I ever saw Rob move around the house so
fast accomplishing nothing and muttering to himself. We arrived at the
hospital at 5:10am and about 7 hours later our beautiful girl arrived.
