The house went through remarkable changes when converted from a church to a
house. And in the past 2 years (well almost) we've pulled off a huge
facelift. Plenty of plaster, sanding and paint has certainly
transformed the house. Slowly but steadily we've managed to put our
finishing touches on the place to really make it our own. We've
certainly learned the true meaning of "Labour of Love".
We're not sure what we'll work on next. There are a couple of
things we've got in our minds including (1) painting the front porch, (2)
adding some built-in units to the den and office areas, (3) painting the
last spare bedroom. Which happens first is anyone's guess.

The double front doors welcome you into a large livingroom
and sittingroom area. At first this
area was very empty, but over the past 2 years we've managed to fill it up
pretty well. We're just waiting for the arrival of mom and dad's piano
from Newfoundland (wink, wink).
The spare bedroom and nursery
are located at the front of the house on either side of the
livingroom. Over the next few months Rob will be tearing out what used to be the
"dry kitchen" so we can renovate for our upcoming arrival (pictures of the finished
product to come in the next few months).
The large kitchen is situated at the back of the house.
A 4 piece bathroom and laundry/furnace room are directly off the kitchen.

The large staircase takes you to the second floor
which is not original to the church, but was added by the previous owners.
The master bedroom and second 4 piece
bathroom are at the top of the
stairs at the back of the house.
The office and mirror-image
den are located at the front of the house.
Both areas are seperated by 29 foot bridge.

The house is on a fairly large lot, about a half acre. The
stone walkway in the
front of the house is surrounded by a large stone wall. Rob and I are still
lacking green thumbs so we've been chosing hardy flowers and shrubs that can
survive and flourish without much help from us to put in the
garden. This summer we've devised some very
ambitious plans:
- Build a pergola around the stone patio in the backyard
- Put up our hammock under the shaded tress in the backyard
- Tear out the cement slab in the back
- Plant cedars along the back and left side
- More flowers, more flowers, more flowers
